Carnival 2008
The ride company providing the rides this year is Fun For Everyone Shows, from Buffalo. This is the same ride company that provided rides for the 2011 Carnival. We are expecting a total of over 20 rides and an additional 20 food and game booths. There are "pay one price" ticket sales for each of the four days of carnival. Pre-sale ride tickets are available at the Hamlin Town Hall. On Thursday, August 9, after the Youth Parade, pay $15 for unlimited rides from 6-11PM. Each child marching in the Youth Parade gets a free ride ticket, a free hotdog and a free pop. On Friday, August 10, pay $18 for unlimited rides from 6-11PM. On Saturday, August 11 from 1-6 PM, pay $18 for unlimited rides. From 6-11PM an unlimited ride ticket costs $18. On Sunday, August 12 from 1-6 PM, pay $18 for unlimited rides.
The beer tent
In the beer tent, live bands will be playing Thursday thu Saturday night. On Thursday, August 9, the band will be Crossroads playing from 8 PM-Midnight. On Friday August 10 the band for the evening is "Me and the Boyz". This band plays music from old time standards, 70's disco and funk and today's current top 40 hits. They will hit the stage at 9PM and will play until 1AM. Teams can sign up at 11AM and there is a 100% payout for prizes. In the evening, "Seventh Heaven" will be playing a blend of classic and alternative rock from 9PM-1AM. On Sunday August 12 there will be a chicken BBQ beginning at 1PM. The music of Jimmy Latrell in the beer tent. All drinks in the beer tent will be $3 and they will have the following: Labatts Blue, Blue with Lime and Blue Light, Bud Light, Coors Light, Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers in the following flavors Exotic Berry, Fuzzy Navel, Pomegranate Raspberry, Strawberry Daiquiri, (and maybe) Michelob Ultra. Please note that before people of all ages are welcome in the beer tent but at 9PM anyone under 21 year of age needs to vamoose. The games of chance this year will be Beat the Dealer, Over and Under and Big Six. Minimum bet is $1 and the maximum is $5 and you must be 18 or over to play. The following is a preliminary listing of our culinary offerings. Please check back later for updates. We will be serving the following items in our main carnival building From the grill. Hamburgers Cheeseburgers Zweigels Hotdogs (Red made with beef) and (white made with pork) Sweet Italian Sausage Pizza slices From the fryer. Chicken fingers French fries Fried Dough Drinks will be Coke products (Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, water, Dr. Pepper, Lemonade and iced tea) The Hamlin Fire Exempts will be cooking clams, salt potatoes, (maybe) corn and potato pancakes. Morton Fire Department runs the "Firehouse Cafe" and they provide coffee, cakes, pies, beef on wick and other assorted tasty treats. On Sunday at 1PM, we will also have a chicken BBQ at Merritt Hall. This will include a half chicken, salt potatoes and slaw for only $8. Eat in or take out are no problem.

Last day of Carnival 2011
Thursday, August 18, 2011 Sunday was the last day of Carnival 2011 and was loaded with fun stuff to do. The rain held off for most of the day and people had plenty of time to enjoy the rides, food, karaoke and the chicken BBQ. We hope to see you all at our carnival next year, August 9-12 2012. Carnival Day Three
Sunday, August 14, 2011 The third and longest day of carnival went very well. It started with the horseshoe tournament, then the parade and ended with Detour playing in the beer tent. The movie captures a small portion of the overall activity. Join us for our last day. Karaoke contest beginning at 1PM. Sign ups start at noon. Chicken BBQ at Merritt Hall. This will include a half chicken, salt potatoes and slaw for only $8. Eat in or take out are no problem. Pay one Price ride tickets are $18 and good from 1-6PM. Day 2 Hamlin Carnival
Saturday, August 13, 2011 A police standoff and lengthy detours forced the Firefighters Parade to be moved to Saturday, but there was still a lot of fun at the carnival. The short movie shows a small portion of what was happening. Come on down on Saturday for the Horseshoe Tournament at 11 AM in the beer tent. The parade starts at 4PM. Pay one Price ride tickets are $18 and good from 1-6PM. From 6-11PM there are also pay one price tickets available for $18. From 3-5PM live music will be provided by Elder Bros. (blues and classic rock) and all the way from Texas, Texas Heat playing classic rock. In the evening Detour will play classic and alternative rock. Sunday August 14: Karaoke contest beginning at 1PM. Sign ups start at noon. Chicken BBQ at Merritt Hall. This will include a half chicken, salt potatoes and slaw for only $8. Eat in or take out are no problem. Carnival Day One
Friday, August 12, 2011 Day one of the Hamlin Fire Department's Carnival was great. The weather was great and plenty of people had a wonderful time. Check out the movie to see what happened. Hope to see you on Friday August 12 for the Firefighters Parade 7PM (line-up beginning at 5:30 in Tops parking lot). Please note Route 19 will be closed between Hamlin-Clarkson Townline Road and Railroad Ave. starting at 6:45 PM until the parade ends.
